Dr. Aaron G. Filler, MD PhD JD FRCS
Global Leader in Peripheral Nerve Surgery, MR Neurography, and Advanced Neurosurgical Innovation

Meet Dr. Filler
A globally recognized expert in the treatment of peripheral nerve disorders and the development of nerve imaging technology, Dr. Aaron Filler is the world’s leading expert in nerve pain treatment.
He has revolutionized nerve-pain treatment by inventing technologies like MR Neurography, allowing doctors to visualize nerves with MRI. His research in axonal transport is paving the way for new advanced pain medications. Dr. Filler also developed many “minimal access” surgery methods for treating complex nerve problems with outpatient procedures.
At Dr. Filler’s Neurological Injury Specialists Management Group in Santa Monica, California, the key to success is a traditional approach: careful listening and thorough neurological exams. Each new patient typically spends over an hour with Dr. Filler, supported by cutting-edge technology unavailable anywhere else.
He combines compassionate care, expert skills, and the best technology to turn challenging pain problems into specific treatable diagnoses.
Dr. Filler holds an MD from the University of Chicago, a PhD from Harvard, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. His training includes top neurosurgery programs and fellowships worldwide.
